Game One: Horford destroying the Bucks

There’s no team in the NBA that can lose its starting center and not emerge significantly worse for it.  And when your center happens to be your team’s most valuable player, you’re done.

But still, the Bucks cannot go into next season without at least a productive workman like backup.  Dan Gadzuric, Fran Elson, and old man Kurt Thomas don’t cut it.

Its like the Packers and their backup quarterback situation, only more risky.  The Packers would be non-competitive without Aaron Rodgers because they refuse to provide at least competent backup.

But Rodgers has proven durable.  Andrew Bogut has not.  Next season the Bucks have to address that weakness.  You cannot build your team on the premise of one big man and a bunch of perimeter players.  You have to hire some more competent “Big Uglies”.  You just have to.
