Bucks got a little unlucky last night

I was just looking at HoopData’s box score from last night’s Bucks game.  As a result, I feel a little better about the Bucks loss.  It looks like they may have been the victim of a flukish shooting performance.

One of the big reasons the Bucks lost was the scoring outburst from Hornets PF David West.  Looking at the shot chart, West made 7 of his 9 shots from 16 to 23 feet away from the basket.  The 16 to 23 foot range is the lowest value shot on the floor, because it is the furthest “two point” shot.  Thus, if I were a coach I would dare opponents to shoot from that range.

The problem is, sometimes they make them.  On those nights, you tip your cap.  Because over the long run, they won’t.
